Center Brian Qvale and Montana are giving New Mexico all it can handle. Qvale leads the Grizzlies with 17 points and five rebounds and Montana is up 29-28 at halftime.
New Mexico will need to shoot better from the free-throw line. The Lobos have made a lowly 3-of-10 shots from the stripe in the first half. Roman Martinez has 12 points and five rebounds at the break.
The game has been fairly steady throughout. A second-half spurt could launch either team to a victory. Right now, the odds of a run favor New Mexico, who have forced five turnovers while losing the rock just twice.
