Vilanova is on upset alert after shooting 30 percent in the first half

We have our first upset alert. Robert Morris, a 15 seed out of the Northeast conference, has 13 turnovers and has 12 fouls. The problem is Villanova hasn’t made the most of their opportunities so far.

They are shooting 30 percent from the field, and have only hit six of 11 from the line. Another disturbing stat is the 3-point percentage. They are two of 12 from beyond the arc. The only good news for Villanova is Robert Morris hasn’t really done anything spectacular either. They are just playing their game.

Villanova will have to shoot much better from the field and from the free throw-line if they want to avert the upset here. They are only down six, and they cannot waste opportunities, especially with Robert Morris committing 13 turnovers. Villanova should win the game, because they have more talent and can hit from the 3-point line much better than their opponent.

Robert Morris will have to stop giving Villanova chances. No turnovers, and no easy shots. It is only a matter of time before Villanova starts to drain some. Robert Morris 28, Villanova 22.
