Texas A&M crushes Utah State

Texas A&M cruised to a win with a 49 percent shooting percentage from the field. Khris Middleton led Texas A&M with 19 points.

Utah State was a team that needed to make the 3-pointer in the match up. However, they shot a dismal 23 percent beyond the arc. They shot 36 percent form the field, and they couldn’t take advantage of the 11 turnovers by Texas A&M. Texas A&M also hit eight 3-pointers themselves in the win.

In the second half, Utah State had the opportunity to go on a big run, but they missed five 3-pointers and seven field goals in a two-minute scoreless stretch. A NCAA tournament team cannot fail to take advantage of possible game-changing moments.

Texas A&M moves on to the second round, and they will face Purdue on Sunday winning 69-53 over Utah State. With the way Purdue played, they have a great chance of making the Sweet 16.
