Wake Forest, Texas come into tourney cold, but evenly matched

Coming into the NCAA tournament, Texas and Wake Forest were two of the coldest teams in the field. If nothing else, the teams’ skids pointed to an even game and has been that so far, with Texas leading 38-37 at halftime.

So far, Jordan Hamilton is doing his part to lead the Longhorns. Hamilton has 14 points, four rebounds and one assist. However, Texas’ 12-of-32 shooting from the floor isn’t great, but Wake is only shooting 15-of-32.

The difference has been free throws with Texas shooting 69 percent to the Demon Deacons 40 percent.

Wake Forest is controlling the offensive boards, and second chance opportunities could be crucial in a tight game in the final stretch of this game.
